7 Simple Yoga Poses To Awaken Your Full Sexual Potential

These simple yet sacred yoga poses, can help you get back in touch with your true sexual nature.

Sexual energy is the most powerful form of energy we can manifest.

Being out of touch with our sexual potential can cause us to feel dissatisfied with our love life, out of touch with our bodies, unsexy, grumpy, lethargic, lonely and powerless.

The ancient art of yoga has given us an abundance of tools to help us connect mind, body and spirit for true wellness in all areas of our life.

Here are my seven favorite yoga poses to awaken sexual potential in men and women. If you’re in a relationship, I encourage you to do these poses together for an increased dose of connection and intimacy!

#1 Seated Meditation

Sit up tall, relax your neck and shoulders and let your palms rest under your navel.

As you breathe in and out through your nose, feel the breath travel down into the pelvic floor and genitals. As you hold your seat for a few minutes, you might start to feel a tingling sensation or an increased amount of energy around the groin.

Stay grounded and focused, allow the energy to build and increase. Let the sexual energy flood through your body as you stay in stillness.

#2 Supported fish

This heart opening pose is the essence of vulnerability and surrender.

By opening up our hearts, we allow ourselves to be receptive to whatever may arise within us. True sexual potential is attained by knowing and loving ourselves through the good and the bad.

When we are open to our heart’s desires and connected to our center, we emanate love, confidence and sensuality.

Lie down on two blocks or a large bolster or pillow. Bring the soles of the feet together and let the knees fall apart as you take deep breaths into the center of your heart. Feel the expansion in your upper body as you soften the jaw, neck and shoulders. Hold for a few minutes.

#3 Happy Baby

Draw your knees into the chest and grab a hold of the big toes or ankles. Stack your ankles over your knees and flex your feet so the soles are facing up towards the sky. Press your knees open wider with the help of your elbows and feel the deep, sensual stretch in the inner thighs. Relax your legs and take deep belly breaths.

Tap into the sexual power that lies here by closing your eyes and feeling your body’s subtle shifts as your hips open up. Stay for 10 breaths.

#4 Core Twists

Lie down on your back and reach your legs straight up. Spread your toes, squeeze the inner thighs and interlace your hands behind the back of your head. As you inhale, lift head and shoulders off the ground and on the exhale, twist to the right while lowering your left leg to hover a few inches off the mat. Inhale to come back to center. Exhale to twist left and drop the right leg down.

As you move through this sequence, imagine a flame burning deep into your belly, glowing brighter and warmer with every breath you take.  

Our core is intimately connected with our power to create and manifest. It is the essence of our power and has amazing potential to improve our sexual satisfaction. When you’ve completed at least four sets, let your hands rest on your belly and feel the fire you’ve created.

#5 Cat & Cow

The cat and cow sequence is a great way to tone the pelvic floor and strengthen kegel muscles which can strengthen your orgasms.

Start on all fours with your palms under your shoulders and knees under your hips. As you inhale, curl your tailbone up and lift your heart. Feel the pelvic floor engage as you lift your sacrum. On the exhale, maintain the squeeze but round your upper back, tucking your chin in towards your chest.

This is a sensual rhythm that warms up your spine and gets rid of lethargy. Repeat this motion three or four times, moving as slowly and sensually as you feel called to.

#6 Downward Dog

This pose exudes sexiness and openness. It connects and grounds us to the earth, clearing out stagnant energy and making way for new and invigorating energy to take its place.

You’ll want your hands to be shoulder width distance apart and your feet to be hip width distance apart. Press into the arms and legs to lift your tailbone up. Relax your neck and let your head be heavy in an act of surrender and ease. Feel the space open up at the back of the legs as you imagine your breath flow from your extremities into your hips and groin. Draw energy up from the earth and allow it to build. Connect to the strength and beauty of your body as it holds you in this dynamic pose. Own your power. Stay for five to ten breaths.

#7 Corpse Pose

Lie down comfortably and allow yourself to take up space. Use your time in this pose to do a body scan.

Palms are facing up as a sign of receptivity and peacefulness. Start at the crown of your head and work your way down, lingering on areas that feel tight or tense. Breathe loving energy into those areas until they soften and relax.

Spend extra time focusing on your breasts, buttocks and genitals. Allow their unique energy to fill you up with sexual power and potential. Rest here as long as you’d like.

These simple yet sacred yoga poses, when done regularly, can help you get back in touch with your true sexual nature.

By clearing out what no longer serves us, we make room for what we truly want.

Practice these poses mindfully, but don’t be afraid to get playful. This is the time to explore and become curious, so enjoy!
