The 4 Best TED Talks About Love, Sex, Vulnerability

About Me

Lover of Life, Love & Sensuality. Optimist. Believer. Natural Beauty Advocate. Minimalist. Living life outside the box; where the magic happens.

I came across these awesome 4 TED Talks about Love Vulnerability, the Nature of Cheating & Desire in a Long-Term Relationship and wanted to share them with you.

  1. The Power of Vulnerability
  2. The Brain in Love
  3. Why we love and why we cheat
  4. The Secret to desire in Long Term Relationships

I suggest them to you because it is important to constantly nourish your brain with thoughts that help you grow sexually & love wise. I myself am in a 9-year relationship with the most amazing man ever and at the moment we are going through a challenging time full of growth. It is talks like these that help me understand the basics of my human nature, i.e. why we feel and act as we do sexually and emotionally, and why this sometimes raises conflict that feels very threatening to our well being.

Set some time aside. Watch it with your better half or a close friend so that you can discuss your thoughts coming up by watching these controversial talks.

The talk on vulnerability was probably my personal favorite. I’ve suppressed mine lately out of fear and shame. I used to revel in it and wear it on my sleeve and take the pain from sharing it, but I got hurt so much recently I retracted it and closed my heart. That’s no way to live. She’s 100% spot on. I guess it takes a fellow scientific mind to open that part of me back up. I’m not going to be afraid anymore. Thank you for this link! I’ve discovered over the years that people with love in their hearts will cherish your vulnerabilities and adore that part of you.

The talk on long term desire comes in close second for me. After 18 years in a relationship with my husband I’m so pleased to find someone who can put into words the feelings I need to express to him. We’re going to be watching this one together.
