Vaginal steaming, or “Yoni Spa” is an ancient healing practice that has been used for centuries by women around the world.

Secrets To A Perfect Vaginal Steam
If you want to take your vaginal steaming session to the next level I recommend you turn it into an energetic healing ritual.
The tender tissues of your yoni store memories, both good and bad. Memories of past trauma, fights, fear, or stress can build up within you and manifest into physical ailments.

If you make your yoni steaming a healing ritual it can help you to let go of heavy emotions. However, you will always have to consciously and actively work through them in order to heal, but yoni steaming acts as a powerful tool.
What You Will Need:
- A Large pot with a lid
- About two quarts of water (Purified if possible)
- Herbs. For fresh herbs, a large handful; or dried herbs, about one ounce.
NOTE: Do NOT use essential oils, they are far too potent, and may cause damage or irritation.
- A warm blanket
- A chair. There are many custom yoni steaming chairs out there that have a hole that allows the steam to reach you. However, you can also use a regular wooden chair, and position yourself comfortably on the edge. If at all possible, stay away from plastic.
- About 1 hour of time from start to clean up
- Some extra towels or blankets to protect the floor
- Warm socks

Step #1 Prepare Your Herbal Mixture
Gather your herbs. Simmer them in a large pot with two quarts of water for about 10 minutes. Remove from the heat, and allow them to steep for 5 minutes, while covered.

Step #2 Prepare Your Steaming Station
While the herbs are steeping, arrange your chair in a quiet area where no one will disturb you. Place the extra blankets or towels folded below the chair to protect the floor. Once the herbs have steeped, place the pot below the chair.
Step #3 Get Naked
Get naked from the waist down, using warm socks on your feet as they may become cold during the session.
Step #4 Test the Temperature
Prior to beginning your steaming session, test the steam temperature with the inside of your forearm to ensure it is not too hot.
Step #5 Begin the Steaming Session
You may like to start by squatting over the pot first for a few minutes to open up the vagina and allow the steam to do its magic.
Then sit in your chair for about 20 minutes with a warm blanket wrapped around your waist to lock in the steam. The steam should feel warm, and soothing. If at any time it feels too hot, move away for a few moments.
Step #6 Meditate to Enhance the Healing Process
Imagine in your mind’s eye that toxins and emotional traumas are being dislodged from your vaginal walls. Sync this with your breath: breathe in the healing steam, breathe out that which doesn’t belong. Allow yourself to open to the warmth and moisture.

Step #7 Relax and Rest to Maximize Steaming Effects
For up to an hour afterward, make sure you have some time to lie down and relax. Take the opportunity to reflect on any emotional responses that came up during the steam, and allow yourself to begin healing. Avoid cold drafts, stay warm, and embrace the wet slipperiness that is the aftermath of the steam.
How Often, and When Should You Steam?
As part of a general self-care regime, women should steam about two to three times per month. However, if your challenges are chronic, you may want to steam up to three times per week to ensure the best results.

Do not steam while pregnant, while menstruating, with an IUD, or with any kind of infection.
Steamings should generally be done within the last week of your cycle (before your period starts). It is often most convenient to do in the evening before bed so that you can go to sleep afterward.
